Job Overview:

The Director of MSO Services plays a vital role in overseeing the management of the Management Services Operations [MSO] team within the RWJBarnabas Medical Group.

Reporting to the VP of Administration, the Director of MSO Services partners with MSO team leads to deploy resources and services to key customers, including RWJBH MG practices and affiliated provider groups.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experienceManagement experience in physician practice management or MSO service leadership, with a minimum of three to five years of experienceProven leadership skills in training/mentoring employeesExperience in project management, continuous improvement, and leadership of complex projects or initiatives

Preferred:

Master's degree in health services [MS, MPH, or MHA], or business administration [MBA]Background in Supply Chain Management, Revenue Cycle, HIMs, Coding, and/or Credentialing Privileging preferred

Schedule:

Monday through FridayHybrid opportunity - 3 days in office preferred

Essential Functions:

Supervise and support MSO team leads, responsible for project management and float pool managementPrimary liaison for coordinating additional centralized support servicesFoster relationships with key stakeholders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Medical Group MSOEstablish and maintain an administrative structure that supports provider practice operations and future growth plans for the Medical GroupEnhance employee engagement and foster a culture of collaboration and enthusiasm among the MSO teamImplement and recommend Key Performance Indicators [KPI] and Service Level Agreements in collaboration with key stakeholdersEnsure accountability through regular communication and reporting on key performance metrics, including productivity and qualityLeadership ability with a focus on influencing and implementing changeTalent recruitment and retention skillsStrong communication, listening, and participative leadership qualitiesCustomer-focused with a professional demeanorKnowledgeable about the business and essential technical and functional skills; understands various business propositions and operationsEffective management of people; sets goals, measures accomplishments, and provides feedback; delegates and develops staffAbility to assess strengths, weaknesses, and potential; hires and deploys staff effectivelyDriven to achieve results, initiates action and follows through on tasksNavigates the organization to get things done; politically aware and capable of presenting views effectivelyRelates well to a wide range of people; builds diverse networks and treats everyone equitablyApproachable and easy to communicate with; maintains composure under stress and listens attentively
