Scope of Responsibilities:  The Regional Billing Supervisor will serve as the point person for ensuring that all pharmacy billing staff members are developed, all billing offices are staffed according to HealthDirect benchmarks, implementing HealthDirect billing policy and procedures, and executing billing functions to ensure bills are accurate.     

 

Job Summary:  Responsible for leading and planning the billing operations for assigned pharmacy billing departments within HealthDirect Pharmacy. The individual is responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining effective billing processes across multiple locations. This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the departments.

 

Travel: Travel required to pharmacy locations, customer sites, training seminars, or as assigned.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.Responsible for training and developing billing staff at all assigned pharmacies. Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Coordinate the performance review process for all billing employees.Maintain effective two-way communication between upper management and billing personnel.Responsible for ensuring all billing processes are followed and billing is accurate at all assigned pharmacies.  Detect errors in billing processes and make appropriate corrections.Oversee monthly month-end close for each assigned pharmacy to maximize efficiencies. Review monthly facility billed totals to detect trends that may need to be enacted on. Complete facility billing analysis as needed. Complete a quarterly billing audit to ensure policy and procedures are followed and share the results with upper management. Review account receivable dashboard with billing staff quarterly.Stay up to date on all third-party communications to share with billing staff.  Support other departments and personnel in billing processes.Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs.Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education:

Minimum: AS Degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration or related fieldPreferred: BA, BS or higher in Accounting or related

 

Experience:

Preferred: 2- 5 Years or more of Management experience.
