All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** Full-time **Shift:** Monday-Friday 8-5pm **Location** : 201 N Park Ave, Suite 105, Apopka, FL 32703 **The role you’ll contribute:** The Referral Specialist is responsible to facilitate and coordinate patient care within the practice and act as a liaison between hospitals, clinical staff, health plans, providers, and patients to process referrals. The Referral Specialist will assist patients in meeting their insurance and clinical requirements to aid in speed of physician’s orders. Individual is responsible for assisting with front office operations including but not limited to scheduling, insurance verification and authorization, and maintains positive relationships with physician offices, patients, insurance companies, and facilities while conveying accurate benefit and payment details in regard to any and all future visits. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. **The value you’ll bring to the team:** + Maintains an effective operational flow by communicating patients’ status to appropriate team members and keeping patient apprised by collaboration with the Physician, APPs, and Practice Manager. + Provides education as necessary to patient regarding test locations, patient portal use, and follow-up (non-clinical) actions. + Ensures cash control by collecting, processing, and balancing funds in the practice’s designated system and documents properly per guidelines. + Documents appropriately within the office’s designated system to ensure regulatory requirements are met. **The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:** **Minimum qualifications** : + Associate’s degree and 2 years of Receptionist experience + Or 5 years of Receptionist experience in a healthcare setting **Preferred:** + Diagnosis coding, medical billing, and payor portal experience + Knowledge of HIPAA requirements regarding patient confidentiality + Accurate typing and data entry skills This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
