Responsibilities The Referral Specialist schedules internal and outgoing appointments as ordered by providers in order to ensure that patients' healthcare needs are met. This includes, but is not limited to referrals, diagnostic tests, specialty exams and surgical procedures. This position is also responsible for pre-certifications / authorizations with insurance companies as required. Works under the supervision of clinic manager/supervisor or designee. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School/GED. Preferred Job Requirements: One year prior experience in office setting and customer service Prior experience working with health insurance authorization processes
