What You Will Do to Change Lives
The Recovery Specialist Supervisor provides day to day supervision, coaching and discipline for an assigned team of Recovery Specialists. The Recovery Specialist Supervisor coordinates and participates in all elements of direct care on the assigned shift.
Shifts Available:
Full-Time |3 shifts each 12-Hour Shift | 7am to 7:30pm | Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
Expected starting wage range is $22.97 - $28.38. The full wage range goes up to $33.80. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)
· BA/BS in behavioral sciences field with two (2) year inpatient experience OR a high school diploma and one (1) year as a Lead Recovery Specialist II with three (3) years inpatient experience OR a high school diploma with at least four (4) years' experience in a behavioral health setting with two (2) of those years being inpatient experience. May substitute an AA in behavioral science or equivalent credits for one (1) year of experience.
o In Outpatient or Community Programs equivalent years of behavioral health experience in outpatient setting may be substituted for inpatient experience
· Meets requirements for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
· All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Demonstrate the Telecare mission, purpose, values and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders
· Establishes, maintains, and co-facilitates a therapeutic relationship with members served; acts as a role model by maintaining a hopeful and positive attitude and problem solving and coping with mental illness
· Provides safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care
· Supervises staff by providing timely feedback, coaching, and performance reviews
· Partners with Clinical Director, Director of Nursing or Program Administrator to create and deliver trainings and ensures direct reports receive required information and skill development
· Participates in the hiring process with guidance and approval from Clinical Director and Program Administrator
· On-boards new team members
· Ensures team members meet required core competencies
· Ensures clear and concise shift report/hand-off meetings, written logs, and any other communication means the program employs for teams to perform at a high level
· Ensures tasks and duties are completed by designated team members
· Develops and provides leadership for program groups
· Participates as a team member and provides input via reporting observations and concerns, and asking appropriate questions
· Attends and participates in community meetings and groups
· Documents client activities of daily living, response to interventions, and significant behavior changes as appropriate
· Admits and discharges clients as assigned; this includes completing associated documentation
· Reviews and implements client treatment plans
· Actively participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning meetings
· Demonstrates knowledge of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) techniques
· Provides individual and group skill building in accordance with the client service plan
· Charts and observes client behavior
· Assists members served with hygienic care
· Recovery Specialist Supervisors do not provide clinical supervision
· Practices body substance precautions at all times
Inpatient Programs
· Ensures required documentation is completed within designated time frames including adverse event documentation, clinical documentation and rounding.
· Provides resident safety via monitoring including but not limited to rounds and seclusion and restraint supervision.
· Obtains client vital signs and weights, as assigned
· Collects stool, urine and other specimens as requested on assigned clients
· Assists at mealtime by distributing meal trays, pouring beverages, and/or feeding members served in need of assistance
· Provides client monitoring including, but not limited to, rounds, seclusion and restraint supervision and smoke breaks
· Assists in client outings, which may include driving
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted and/or changed at the discretion of management.

The Telecare Thurston Mason E&T (Evaluation and Treatment) is an acute 15-bed adult intensive treatment program. The program provides services to individuals experiencing severe psychiatric symptoms who may benefit from more structured services, supports, and secure setting. The program provides recovery-focused services. Telecare programs transform lives, generate measurable outcomes, and reduce financial costs. Services are designed to respond to local needs function as a strategic, accountable, and experienced partner within systems of care. The E&T is designated as a facility providing both voluntary and involuntary psychiatric care. E&T residents are ages 18+ and stay on average 14 days.
