Recovery Specialist - Float

Job purpose                                                                          

To help clients have a positive and successful recovery by making sure the client understands his/her responsibilities in the program and giving guidance when needed.

 Pay: $17.00 an hour

Duties and responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned.

To transport clients for admission, discharge, medical appointment, etc. Does not apply to those not eligible to drive. To provide orientation to new clients and check in personal property.  Perform luggage searches. Will provide for the safety of the clients by monitoring their whereabouts by making rounds including all areas described in the Program Abuse Prevention Plan and overnight bed checks. Interact with clients whenever possible. Attend shift change report and department meetings. Assist with the admissions and discharge process. Chart interaction with clients and observations made in client’s record through electronic charting system. Attend staff meetings and In-service trainings as required. May interact with the Clinical and Nursing team. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Hours/Shift  

Currently looking for an applicant that is willing to be flexible and open to working different shifts as needed Full-Time Hours, 30+

Qualifications Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:

Must be 18 years of age or older. Have the ability to work independently. If eligible to drive, possess a valid driver license The ability to drive a vehicle continuously for up to three hours. The ability to lift and move objects weighing a minimum of 25 pounds. CPR and first aid certified. On-going training on of cultural awareness and demonstration of sensitivity to various cultural norms and values. Computer literate to include Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.

 

Required Skills, Knowledge and Ability

Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Prior work experience in a residential treatment center environment helpful, but not required.
