Recovery Officer

If you are a motivated, enthusiastic, self-starting individual with a great work ethic and excellent customer service skills this is an exciting opportunity to join our high performing Bunnings Credit team as a Recovery Officer. In this role you will be responsible for guiding our customers through our debt recovery process and provide tailored repayment solutions based on the customers unique situation.

About the role

As a Recovery Officer, you will initiate and support debt recovery actions for a specific group of customers in Australia and New Zealand. You will utilise communication skills, negotiation techniques, investigative tools, and an understanding of debt collection practices to recover overdue payments.

Prior collections experience would be advantageous but is not required, and full training will be provided to ensure you’re able to succeed in the role.

What’s involved

Collections including the negotiating and monitoring of payment plans. Liaising directly with external clients (Lawyers, mercantile agents etc.)Interpreting and assessment of online credit reportsObtaining documentation as required, including directors guarantees, financials, and customer backgrounds.Provide phone support to internal and external stakeholders.Respond to enquiries and resolve customers queries.Demonstrate a keen ownership of a Recoveries ledger and work towards KPI’s and targets.Identify potential accounts for legal action.Follow up on broken arrangements and determine appropriate action.Achieve sustainable solutions for customers and their businesses by negotiating payment plans and building rapport with customers.
