Records and Information Management Associate Director

Senior Records and Information Management (“RIM”) practitioner operating at a global level, responsible for supporting the development and implementation of a global records management program. Effective operator as a senior member of a team of RIM professionals globally. Providing guidance, critique, and support to all lines of business and corporate functions across 140 countries, in delivering RIM remediation initiatives. The RIM Associate Director is responsible for leading and delivering several RIM projects, drawing on broad experience and knowledge of Information Management lifecycle initiatives. The ability to work collaboratively with legal, data privacy, cyber and information security, enterprise risk management, compliance, and technology is vital for this role and the delivery of these RIM projects. Experience in working successfully with both onshore and offshore stakeholders in a multi-vendor environment is also required.

In their capacity as a Business Partner, the RIM Associate Director will review and monitor the compliance status of some allocated business areas, working to ensure the main principles of information categorization and lifecycle, retention, legal hold management and disposition are effectively implemented across those areas.

Operating at a senior level, advising and partnering with organizational leaders and key business stakeholders, supporting them with self-assessment and subsequent remediation of any residual risks in their business areas; the RIM Associate Director may also need to engage with auditors, regulators and clients' enquiries, and give enterprise direction to RIM program staff and impacted colleagues across WTW.

The role

Assist in ensuring foundations of the Records and Information Management program are up-to-date and aligned with company strategies by actively partnering with Legal, Data Privacy, Cyber and Information Security, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Technology, and business stakeholders Provide strategic input to achieve successful operation of the enterprise-wide RIM programAssist in reviewing RIM program effectiveness by setting benchmarks and evaluating program performanceActively contribute to the development and implementation of organizational RIM compliance management strategies and enforce approved corrective actionsAct as a Business Partner to various assigned Lines of Business and Corporate Functions Collaborate with business leaders within the organization, to plan, develop, and provide RIM support for Disaster Recovery preparedness and Business Continuity activitiesChampion the RIM program within the organization to heighten awareness and position the function as a key business resource by establishing credibility, integrity, and executive presenceInstil the importance of organizational ethical conduct by setting an example of ethical behavior to protect information assets

Skills & Experience

Strong influencing, analytical/problem-solving skills; sound judgment and demonstrable leadership skillsProven ability to communicate effectively, drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levelsA strong understanding of record keeping, privacy and information security laws and regulations, and industry best practices, is necessary to contribute to the commercial objectives of the businessDriving initiatives to enable the destruction of records and information in a timely and compliant mannerLead development of dashboards, metrics and reporting; and develop a simple repeatable process to produce them on a regular cadenceFamiliar with, and able to work effectively within, formal programme/project management processes and disciplinesExperience working on Data Governance, Data Retention, or Records Management projectsBuild, lead, deliver and drive executive presentations to all audiencesExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsProven ability to act independently, work quickly and with careful attention to detail, balance multiple competing priorities and thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment Contribute to ensuring we have a diverse team and a positive culture of inclusion

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of overall business management experience in a complex, financial services, or professional services organizationMinimum 10 years working in a Records and Information Management (RIM) or Privacy/Data related roleMinimum 5 years project management experienceHold one or more RIM or Data Governance/Privacy industry certifications such as: ICRM, IGP, CRM, or RIM - preferableFormal project management qualification - preferableStrong RIM/Privacy practice and technology experience and knowledgeSolid understanding of RIM and Privacy-related issues, infrastructure and systems.Understanding and familiarity with various RIM industry standards (e.g. ISO 15489)Degree or equivalent in the related subject
