The Recording Department is looking for a dedicated, positive candidate with an enthusiasm for customer service and thrives on being part of an incredible team. The Recording Team likes to have fun while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and e?ciency in recording public records. This candidate will also work closely with the Administrative Department, specifically the Community Engagement Administrator, assisting in serving the community and making a difference in the lives of our neighbors through outreach events. Examples of Duties for Success + Receives direct supervision from the Recording Supervisor, Recording Manager, and/or Recording Tech III. + Assists the public in person and over the phone with recording documents, marriage licenses, and general questions. + Pro?ciency in cash management, ensuring correct fees are collected per statutory requirements. + Accuracy in data entry and attention to detail is a must. + Support/attend community outreach events as needed. + Assist in setting up event materials. + Interpersonal skills, including working with a team and as a humble civil servant. + Committed to the priorities of the Office of the Clerk & Recorder. + Assists in other areas of the Clerk and Recorder's o?ce as needed. + Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required. + Adaptable to rapidly changing priorities based on workload. Qualifications for Success + Accuracy of data entry procedures, typing ability, and basic math and grammar skills. + Knowledge of PC basics and ability to learn proprietary recording systems and processes. + Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. + Ability to provide excellent customer service calmly and professionally in person and on the telephone. + Ability to learn Colorado real property statutes. + Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment. + Ability to work extended hours as needed. + Establish and maintain positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. + Ability to exercise attention to detail in performing assigned tasks. + Bilingual Spanish/English is strongly preferred Candidates must also have competency in the following: + Customer Service + Teamwork + Attention to detail + Type 40 WPM + Communication + Reliability + Flexibility More Qualifications for Success + Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. Experience in data entry and computer operations required. + Education and Training: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. + License or Certificate: + Ability to be deputized. + Class "R" driver's license, state-mandated auto insurance and own transportation are required. Motor Vehicle driving record must meet county standards. + Background Check:Must pass a criminal background check. + Other: + Work is performed primarily in an office environment. + Work atmosphere may be noisy and hectic due to contact with general public in person and on the telephone. + Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
