Compensation includes a base salary of $64,200.00 - $96,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

What You’ll Do

· Ensure vehicles are repaired and painted to meet Manheim’s standards and customer or account requirements.

· Purchase equipment, materials and supplies for the shop and oversee maintenance and protection of shop equipment.

· Maintain and develop staff by recruiting and training employees and providing educational opportunities.

· Prepare estimates for collision repair, lot damage, transport damage, etc.

· Review work volumes, planning and continuously monitoring staffing levels.

· Set an example in behavior, championing Cox/Manheim values and ensure that all employees are treated with respect.

· Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.

· Partner with various market level support teams to ensure effective and efficient operational processes.

· Oversee the quality control of vehicles.

· Communicate and resolve reconditioning goals.

· Measure process efficiency and effectiveness and implement improvement strategies.

· Manage Mechanics completing detailed inspections, preparing reconditioning estimates and completing repairs.

· Oversee sublet vendor partnerships in the Body Shop and Detail department. 

· Complete minor to complex diagnoses and repairs to all vehicle systems.

· Handle and dispose of all fluids in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations.

· Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance. 

· Evaluate job performances and conduct performance appraisals.

· Direct staff to ensure a high level of quality and accuracy in their repair work.

· Approve and forward bills to the appropriate personnel to ensure accurate billing.

· Assist in counseling employees, monitoring and evaluating employee job performance, and conducting performance appraisals.

Who You Are

You know how to handle people. You’re a leader, a teacher and a mentor. You’re a problem solver and an active listener who has no problem delegating the right person to the right task. You’ve earned your way to where you are, and you aren’t stopping anytime soon. You’ll also need the following credentials:

Minimum:

· BA/BS degree and 6+ years of related experience (reconditioning and/or lot operations; body shop; automotive service and/ or repair; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

· At least 1 year experience in a management or lead role.

· Good communication and interaction skills.

· Good management and organizational skills.

· Ability to lift 1-30 pounds (light hand tools, etc.)

· Must have a Valid driver's license and meet Cox Mobility minimum driving qualification standards.

Preferred:

· Knowledge of federal/state laws and regulations regarding OSHA, EPA, and MSDS.

· ASE certification automotive body repair or reconditioning is preferred.

· Diesel and transmission experience.

· Industry certifications such as electrical and A/C.

· OEM mechanical certification preferred.
