Williamsburg Landing, a CARF-accredited Life Plan Community, seeks a Part-Time Receptionist with excellent organizational, administrative, customer service, and communication skills to join our Assisted Living team. The Receptionist is responsible for presenting a positive image of Williamsburg Landing and maintaining professional relationships with residents, guests, management, and staff.


This position will work 4 pm to 7 pm on one to two days per week (Monday through Friday), 10 am - 7 pm on occasional weekends (Saturday and Sunday), and have the ability to provide occasional coverage Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm.


Base rate for this position starts at $15.50/hr and is commensurate with experience.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Greets residents and visitors in a friendly, professional manner, answering questions or directing them to the appropriate area or department; answers the telephone promptly, transferring calls to appropriate departments/personSchedules resident transportation as requested and forward medical appointments to administrative assistantEnsures professional appearance of the main lobby and front deskDevelops friendly and professional relationships with residents and remains alert to problems, changes, or needs of residents and relays needs or concerns to proper department, following up when necessaryProvides information on facilities, services, and eventsForwards requests for Facilities/handyman service appointments on behalf of residentsAssists residents with small clerical tasks such as addressing cards and envelopes, making photocopies, and retrieving mailStamps, sorts, and distributes mail and floral arrangements; redirects improperly addressed mail; delivers packagesCommunicates work orders to Facilities ManagementManages the store in Assisted Living, ensuring inventory is maintained, items are charged correctly, and ensures sales are balanced at end of the shiftAssists in training receptionists and provides coverage for other receptionists as neededAssists other departments with clerical requests and/or projects as time permitsPerforms other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS


High school diploma or GED, required; minimum of two (2) years’ experience in customer service or hospitality, preferred; proficiency with MS Office and basic knowledge of cash receipts and accounting procedures, required


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Excellent organizational, administrative, customer service and communication skills; ability to understand and respond appropriately to older adults with unique life issues; ability to handle a wide variety of tasks simultaneously; ability to relate well with visitors, residents and staff in a courteous, friendly, prompt, and tactful manner; ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds is required when stocking the store and delivering packages
