The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

 

JOID assists the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in developing leading edge technologies to counter WMD in support of CCMDs and transitioning these technologies to military services and COCOMs. SPA provides expertise across the full range of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives (CBRNE) WMD, Counter Improvised Threat and Countering Threat Network technologies to support understanding, detection, identification, characterization, denial, control, disabling, defeating, disposing, safeguarding the force, managing consequences, and test and evaluation in support of military and civilian operations.

 

Systems Planning and Analysis has an immediate need for a Receptionist and Conference Scheduler to provide onsite support in Lorton, VA.

Responsibilities

The Receptionist and Conference Scheduler is the facility receptionist and primary scheduler for the Crown Center Facility while also providing general administrative support to DTRA Group Staff and conference/meeting attendees. The individual is the first point-of-contact for those entering the facility and is responsible for following entry security protocol. This position reports directly to the DTRA Deputy Program Manager (DPM) and works with other program staff as required, including Security and Facilities personnel. Responsibilities include: managing schedules for the conference center’s five conference rooms, providing communication and coordination for those scheduling use of the facility, working with the DPM to deconflict facility schedules as needed, manning the front desk throughout operating hours, coordinating with SPA Security for classified meetings to ensure all security protocols are met, assisting in coordinating conference room AV equipment use, ordering supplies and arranging for maintenance of office equipment as needed, stocking the document production and break rooms, and performing other general receptionist duties as assigned all while maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of company business.

Qualifications

Required:

High School DiplomaProficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent customer service skills Strong organizational and time management skillsSelf-starter, able to balance multiple tasks and maintain momentumAbility to communicate effectively with employees at all levelsEligible for Secret clearanceU.S. Citizenship
