Receptionist

The Rock at La Cantera is seeking to fill several receptionist positions in the Spurs Club.

The Role

The receptionist is responsible for performing clerical tasks at the member’s services desk and adherence to club policies and standards.  Coordinate events with the member service team and maintain a welcoming and upscale environment for our esteemed members.  This role requires a high degree of professionalism due to exposure to sports, entertainment, and distinguished guests.

Spurs Club

A first-of-its-kind chef-driven private social club and restaurant located atop the Victory Capital Performance Center at The Rock at La Cantera.  Members can gather to work, entertain, and unwind in a premier style.  Members will enjoy an array of amenities including multiple bars, fine dining, lounge/personal workspace, and unparallel access and connectivity to the Spurs Organization.


Responsibilities

- Welcoming guests while posted at the point of entry to the social club, restaurant, and the main security area.

- Enforcing membership policy and rules including but not limited to dress code, phone access, camera usage and VIP interaction.

- Answering and transferring phone calls.

- Greeting guests with a professional and courteous manner.

- Managing the front desk and performing basic support tasks.

- Directing or escorting guests and visitors to various areas within the designated areas.

- Scheduling, confirming, adjusting or cancelling reservations when necessary.

- Maintaining a clean and tidy reception area.

- Creating signage for events.

- Taking messages, sorting and distributing mail.


Qualifications

- One-year proven experience as a receptionist within the hospitality industry, preferably in a social club or restaurant environment.

- Can be trusted to act in a manner that is value driven, with honest communication at all levels of the organization.

- Strong interpersonal skills; can effectively communicate with high profile club members and distinguished guests.

- Detail oriented with excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

- Ability to enforce rules and polices in a professional manner, while ensuring compliance.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Must have computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Ability to remain in a standing position for extended period of five hours or more.

- Ability to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
