About our Company:

Monarch E&S, a division of SPG Insurance Solutions (Monarch) is a rapidly growing, and successful property and casualty insurance wholesaler and managing general agency with branches in Agawam, MA – Miami, FL - & Burbank, CA. We sell exclusively to retail agencies across the country with a focus on small to mid-market E&S commercial and specialty personal lines risks.

About the Position:

An ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently. Crucial to the role is the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, sometimes work under pressure; be flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient while exhibiting a high level of professionalism. This individual also provides a positive and professional experience to callers and visitors.

Responsibilities:

Opens reception area and office by 9:00am each day and closes reception area at the end of the day

First point of contact for on-site visitors: welcomes, determines nature of business, and announces to appropriate personnel

Presents a friendly, professional demeanor always

File mapping a variety of tasks into appropriate files in a timely manner.

Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purposes of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or departments in a friendly and professional manner

Performs backup support to other administrative areas

Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, collating, and printing

Prep / weigh / sort outgoing mail at end of day

Outgoing mail trips to post office

Should have valid driver’s license. Cleared background check with clean driving record and proof of insurance required.

Use of personal vehicle is required for daily driving to and from the Burbank office to the local Post Office and back. (Reimbursement provided, via monthly expense reporting, for mileage to and from the Burbank office to local Post Office only)

Maintain finances for postage machine

Maintain required proof of mailing documentation along with attaching documentation to appropriate file

Handle overnight deliveries

Maintain kitchenette area monthly: inventory and cleanliness

Maintains confidentiality in matters pertaining to management

Qualifications:

High School Diploma

2+ years of work experience in an administrative assistant role.  Successful track record necessary

Experience supporting management

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $20 to $23 an hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
