POSTION SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to take and direct all incoming calls, greeting and/or directing family members and visitors as well as providing secretarial assistance to residents and other management personnel. Some typing and general clerical duties required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR SPECIAL SKILLS: High school diploma or equivalent. Have at least one year secretarial experience. Ability to use computer; ability to work in a high client contact area. JOB DUTIES: Assists residents with general information as needed Answers all incoming calls and directs the calls to the proper telephone station or person Assist with clerical/administrative or other special assignments as designated by management. Performs some secretarial duties such as typing, computer input, filing, etc. as requested by management. Sorts, logs, and files all incoming mail and contact appropriate resident promptly. Provides on-site immediate response to those prospective residents or family members who come in the Community for information. Maintains confidentiality of resident and family information. Reports all residents’ concern to the Executive Director. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates ability to utilize independent and effective clinical judgment, problem solving and decision making skills. Prioritizes and manages time effectively. Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers. Strong organizational skills and analytical skills Seek out opportunities to help rather than waiting to be asked Performs all other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management personnel.
