Job Description/Responsibilities

Bio: The Receiving Technician is responsible for ensuring all materials are in the plant to meet daily production; off-loading and routing of freight deliveries for all materials; supervises, counts and verifies the receipt of caps, kds, PET & glass and partitions.

 

Understand and comply with safety requirements of Receiving Department including company SOPs and requirements; keep safety top of mind at all times and prevent co-workers from working unsafely. Report safety concerns, accidents and near misses immediately. Participate in safety inspections and accident investigations. Keep workplace clean and free of debris at all timesUnderstand and work with established standards to deliver maximum and consistent levels of customer service. Provide world class customer service in ensuring materials are delivered to the plant to meet daily production within safety, quality and regulatory guidelines. Maintain the highest standards in regards to safety, quality and rectify customer complaints in effective and timely manner.Actively engage in keeping work area up to the established standards including GMPs, HACCP, SOPs and company requirements. Ensure maximum customer service and satisfaction. Own the standard operating procedure for the Rectifying Technician position. Continuously improve quality driven actions that lead to award winning results.Create a personal development plan with assistance of manager to improve a skill/competency that will develop personal skills and improve performance. Improve at least one skill each year as agreed with manager. Deliver on performance against outcomes.Develop the skills needed to attain the desired career path within the organization. Individuals are responsible for identifying their own career goals and communicating same to manager.Continually seek ways to improve performance as measured by departmental KPI's. Understand and adhere to SOPs and best practices to ensure highest quality standards for materials delivery and customer service. Proactively generate ideas to improve day-to-day operation in the Inventory Control Department. Optimize available resources to continuously improve work environment. Effectively communicate interdepartmentally to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Recommend ideas to reduce costs.Perform job in a responsible manner and in compliance with Company procedures and applicable rules and regulations including environmental compliance.Model behavior around the Sazerac Ideal Team Member Profile. Develop and maintain solid professional working relationships inside and outside the company. Set a positive example and act in a manner consistent with company values. Shift is from 6am to 6pm, 2-2-3 shift pattern. Pay approximately $23.43 based on years of relevant experience.

Qualifications/Requirements MUSTDemonstrated ability to work quickly and effectively in demanding situationsWorking knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)Excellent organizational skills2 years successful work experience, at a minimumAbility to operate Industrial equipment as required.Requires Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environmentGeneral knowledge of processing/receiving activitiesAbility and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)High School diploma or GED equivalentPREFERREDRequires Supervisory experience3-5 years experience in distribution, warehousing, and/or transportation. Forklift experience a must.3 years of relevant experience (minimum) Min USD $18.74/Hr.
