Receiving Supervisor

Pay Range: $66,000-$83,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications

MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country. We are looking for a Receiving Supervisor for our Temperance, MI location.

The Receiving Supervisor provides direction and support to the Receiving/Pile & Foam Associates.  Supervisors are responsible for directing daily assignments, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, setting team members expectations and communicating with cross functional teams for issues, stock outs, safety concerns and performance issues. 

While performing the duties of the job, you will be required to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl, turn, twist, push, talk, and listen.  The responsibilities of this position also involve repetitively lifting, pushing, and/or moving up to 50 pounds (50 pounds or more must be lifted with assistance). 

The typical work week is Monday – Friday (6:00am-4:30pm).  Mandatory overtime is frequently required, and this requirement may not be announced in advance.

Work safely using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following company safety procedures and policies. Support production by supplying and moving materials throughout the facility. Understand and meet the operation performance standards established for the Receiving Department. Understand and support daily glass deliveries. Support and enforce the use of Kanban racks. Assure that policies & procedures are being followed, and required purchasing/scanning technology is being used properly to support inventory tracking & accuracy. Print and distribute daily schedule requirements for necessary areas. Maintain employee hours and time off requests in HR supported software. Conduct performance reviews, coach, train, develop, and motivate Team Members, and take disciplinary action when required.     Maintain a clean work area. Assure proper organization and storage of the raw materials warehouse (Standard 5s Practices). Actively participate in & oversee cycle counts, month end and year-end inventory related activities. Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required Proficiency with basic Math and Writing Skills Proficient with computers and software (i.e.: Teams, Word, Excel) Manual dexterity required for assembly work and operating machinery Ability to effectively communicate and build professional relationships with cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving skills, including applying corrective and preventive action (CAPA) appropriately Ability to operate a forklift and scissor lift
