Your role

 

The Receiving Operator is responsible for the following tasks and duties on a daily basis:

 

Receive and inspect materials from external vendors, and sort them into the appropriate system (e.g., SAP)Scan or meter products into the receiving systemAccurately document all material movementsVerify chemicals, catalog numbers, lot numbers, special request information, unit sizes, and weights against order documentation and packing instructionsOperate required equipment to produce documents for workloadSample bulk materials for analytical purposesLocate, move, deliver, or return all required materials to the proper areasPrint and apply all required labels and markings to comply with hazardous materials regulationsReport unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or any member of managementPack materials following established procedures and instructions, while complying with hazard regulations for shipment to customersCondense, straighten, and maintain the dock, receiving, and sampling areasOperate a powered pallet jack and manual material handling equipment as neededLoad and unload freight as neededComplete miscellaneous duties, projects, and tasks as assignedMaintain exemplary attendance and adherence to scheduleFollow all good documentation practices (GDP)Shift/hours: 2nd shift, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, M-F

 

Who you are

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

HS Diploma and 2+ years of receiving and/or material handling experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff Ability to work quickly and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipmentOperate PCs, scanners, printers, and shipping equipmentAbility to read, hear, speak and understand English languageAbility to work in a group settingAbility to operate PCs, scanners, printers, shipping equipment (meters, tape machines, etc.) and various cutting instrumentsDetail oriented
