Receiving Clerk - 1st

Eaton’s CPDI PDI division is currently seeking a Receiving Clerk - 1st. The Richmond, VA site specifically focuses in on cirtical power distibution for multiple segments; those including Utitlites, Data Centers, Hospitality, and Commercial Instiutions. The Receiving Clerk offers a 40-hour paid week with hours being from 7:00am-3:30pm, full benefits, and 401K match plan.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.80 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Position Overview: 
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintain inventory counts and quality control procedures of incoming and outgoing product shipments. Support and initiate actions with management to ensure that personnel comply to the company’s policies and performance/productivity levels.

In this function you will: 
•    Responsible for systematic receiving control of plant materials 
•    Responsible for maintaining receipts of purchase orders, ISOs, interfacility transfers.
•    Responsible for enforcing hot list communications  
•    Ability to identify received items and verify counts 
•    Ability to identify vendor parts 
•    Enforce safety policies for truck drivers entering the facility 
•    Ownership of past due receiving logs and vendor service logs
•    Ability to perform root cause analysis of incorrect receipts and problematic shipments. 
•    Quarantine damaged and unidentified products. 
•    Ability to compare packing slips, Purchase orders, Bill of Lading 
•    Ability to understand the effects of received goods in the inventory system
•    Ability perform cycle counting as needed 
•    Maintaining document control for packing slips and BOLs
•    Responsible for delivery of non-production related material 
•    Ability to coordinate with team lead, inventory workers, supply chain, and material handlers to solve various issues. 
•    Maintain the labeling of product through the plant
•    Ability to work cross functional across plants
•    Research lost material transactional history and escalate as needed
•    Develop or improve upon receiving procedures.
•    Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•    High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
•    Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future
•    No relocation is being offered for this role.  All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Richmond, VA location.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications: 
•    2+ years’ experience in shipping/receiving 
•    Ability to work extended hours.
•    Forklift and pallet jack experience

•    Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 
•    Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others
•    Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills
