Job Summary:  Responsible for the flow of merchandise through the sort and receipt of freight on a daily basis.  Replenish priority 1 and 2 freight from reserve locations to home locations and the gathering and loading of outbound parcel shipments. The position is maintaining communications throughout the department staff, buyers, supervisors, stores and other departments

 

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

Verifies accuracy of all receiving documents, maintaining accurate inventories of all locations and moveable units in the Distribution CenterMaintains security, integrity and control of all freight, including controlled substances and confidential materialWork cross functionally across all departments of the Distribution Center to insure effective and accurate receipt and management of inventoryDeliver total customer service to our stores and other departmentsSchedules incoming truck appointmentsOperate all equipment associated with picking, replenishment and receiving responsibilities for regular and special store ordersMove freight from the Receiving area to home and reserve locations in a timely fashionAssist in cross functional work assignments when work load demandsPick store orders while maintaining the integrity of our inventoriesMaintain open communications with the management team, to help coordinate the general flow of inventory throughout the Distribution Center pipelineUtilize safe and efficient fork lift operator techniques and have a good working knowledge of both CRT and RF equipmentResponsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programsPerform other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum: High School Diploma or GEDPreferred: Associates Degree or higher

Special Conditions of Employment:

Drug TestInitial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoringMust possess a valid NYS Driver’s License

 

Compensation:

 

$16.00 - $22.17 an hour

 

The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
