Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.About the Role
Four Seasons is seeking a dedicated Receiver Clerk to manage all incoming goods in the Purchasing department. This role involves verifying deliveries against purchase orders, updating the inventory system, and ensuring accurate storage of items. The Receiver will also maintain strong vendor relationships and uphold high standards of food quality and safety.
What you will do
Delivery Verification: Inspect and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders to ensure accuracy in quantities and specifications. Inventory Management: Update and maintain the inventory management system, logging all received items, and ensuring stock levels are accurate. Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on received goods, reporting any discrepancies or damages to management promptly. Storage Organization: Efficiently store all items in designated areas, adhering to safety and sanitation standards to facilitate easy access and inventory rotation. Vendor Communication: Liaise with vendors regarding delivery issues, discrepancies, and quality concerns to maintain strong professional relationships.What you bring
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a receiving or inventory management role, preferably within the hospitality or foodservice industry. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to accurately verify shipments and maintain inventory records. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries and maintain a tidy storage area. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication abilities to coordinate with vendors and team members. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks, as the role may require considerable movement and handling of goods.What we offer
