MSA has an opportunity for a Real Estate Assistant in our Madison, WI office. We are looking for a detailed oriented and highly motivated individual with excellent organizational skills to assist with our growing real estate team. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the process to acquire various real estate interests required for Wisconsin transportation, municipal projects, and be involved in property management for WisDOT. This listing is for our Madison, WI office location.

ResponsibilitiesWHAT YOU WILL DO
Assist the Department with their Property Management programComplete various administrative functions relating to Wisconsin public agency real estate and design projectsSet up and maintain files that document all relevant project and propertyResearch resource material in preparation for negotiations including current title to property.Verify legal descriptions and other legal documents.Draft documents necessary for the real estate negotiations including letters, agreements, conveyances, etc..File documents required for property acquisitions.Data Entry of property specific information into WisDOT READS system. Perform review of real estate related letters, documents, reports etc. for quality control. Completion of various reports and/or spreadsheets required to track progress and statusAssist with and perform office related administrative duties and other related work as assigned or as apparent.Interpret and explain right of way plats and construction plans to individual property owners, or for preparation of Real Estate DocumentsNegotiations just compensation settlements of nominal value with property ownersWith with internal and external clients such as teammates, project managers, leaders, review agencies, appraisers, clients, and more QualificationsWHAT YOU BRING
