We are looking for an RD&A Technologist to join our Kerry team in South Africa.

Work location:     Hiillcrest, Durban
Reporting to:       RD&A  Senior Scientist

 

Key responsibilities Beverage development and application function Work with in-house flavour systems and ingredients eg: texturants, emulsifiers and juice powders and plant-based Develop beverages across various segments Visit key beverage customers regularly and troubleshoot where required Proactively initiate new innovative concepts in collaboration with marketing and business development Manage flavour and beverage application labs in terms of equipment purchase and raw materials Keep up to date with industry legislation, technologies and innovations Work closely with mixologist and food service team to grow the QSR business on syrups and powder mixers. Support customers at production
  Qualifications and skills Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or B.Tech in Food Technology At least 2 years work experience in RD&A various roles within a regulated food / ingredients industry. Mix of office, laboratories and production/ processing experience Understanding of the current market and customers Ability to build and maintain relationships Up to date knowledge of key competitors and their activities within the region Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate
