Raw Materials Technician
Job Description
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Raw Materials Technician will coordinate the activities/tasks that relate to raw materials, including incoming raw material approval (sensory inspection/label and COA review) and shelf-life extensions. The Raw Materials Technician will adhere to safety procedures, ensure a safe work environment, meet and exceed product quality expectations, and assist in achieving process reliability goals. Expectations: Sample incoming materials for testing/acceptance Sample/resample material for shelf life extensions Perform sensory tests as required to accept raw materials as specified in inspection plans Perform sensory tests as required to extend or discard materials per shelf life extension requests Obtain COA’s and label pictures for all incoming materials Enter Quality Notification (QN) for rejected raw materials into the system and identify tasks/activities required Review labels to ensure Kosher, Organic, and other Identity Preserved requirements Responsible for identifying and reporting any food safety and quality concerns. Conduct operational audits Other tasks as assigned Qualifications: Detail Oriented, MS Office, Technical and Continual Improvement Process Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering highquality results Three years experience in quality control, quality assurance, and/or food manufacturing Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
