Key Responsibilities

Marshals aircraft in ramp area; tows aircraft on the groundUnload and load passenger baggage and cargo to/from aircraftAssists with aircraft grooming and washingDe-ices aircraft and assists crew to prepare aircraft for departurePerforms snow removal duties as requiredEnsures necessary ground equipment is available in the ramp area for upcoming flightsAssists with freight handlingPerforms additional tasks as assigned by the Ground Operations Manager

Qualifications

Training provided for the successful candidatePrevious ramp, labourer, or other job-site experience an assetPrevious forklift or loader experience an assetAbility to work with limited supervisionAbility to meet the physical requirements of the position which include bending, climbing, and heavy liftingMust hold valid class 5 drivers licenseMust meet pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirementsMust be able to obtain airport security clearance

Work Conditions

4 on,4 off rotating shift schedule including day shift 5:00am - 5:00pm and night shift 5:00pm - 5:00amWorking outside in all weather conditionsThose local to Yellowknife given preference due to the location of this project
