Roles and Responsibilities
· Develop and implement comprehensive safety strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors
· Lead and manage a team of safety professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
· Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety measures into operational processes and projects
· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
· Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, and develop action plans to prevent recurrence
· Provide safety training and education programs for employees at all levels, promoting awareness and accountability
· Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, preparing reports and recommendations for senior management
· Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement in safety initiatives
· Act as a key liaison with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders on safety-related matters
Education Qualification
· Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Engineering, or related field
· Master's degree or relevant post-graduate qualification preferred
Experience
· Minimum 22-30 years of experience in the Power/Energy industry
· Demonstrated track record of successful safety leadership and management
· Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs
