POSITION OVERVIEW:

Provides project management steps for projects within Radiology. Assists in managing timelines and has the ability to document workflow design. Documents changes within radiology. Has the ability to work as a technologist assistant. Contacts insurance companies as needed to determine if prior authorization needed for outpatient imaging procedures. Able to run reports and analyze data to support the departments goals. Completes appropriate paperwork via paper, internet or telephone conversation for Scheduling. Documents in patient chart on initiation of prior authorization, progress and completion of prior authorization. Actively participates in quality improvement for department efficiency. Receives direction from: Director of Radiology.

EDUCATION:

Associates degree, preferred

EXPERIENCE:

One to three (1-3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Medical Terminology helpful Basic insurance knowledge Advanced telephone and computer skills Excellent customer service skills Provide reporting and analytics Ability to make sound decisions with daily work
