Job Description

Korean web gauging including lithium-ion battery is a rapidly growing industry and as leaders in gauging instrumentation we also put our strong focus on safety of our gauging business. You will play a key role in leading radiation safety of gauging business in order to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

ResponsibilitiesProvide a safety plan of our own gauging business and customer site activities by the laws. Conduct instant radiation safety assessment, complete periodic inspection of the facility.Initiate the verification procedure of handling and selling radioactive material with approvals from the authority of Korean government or equivalent organization.Assist with customer inquiries and investigation activities by providing radiation safety expertise as appropriate.Coordinates/conducts routine maintenance/inspection on ThermoFisher Scientific’s Radiation Generating Equipment and Isotope Equipment in accordance with company Radiation Safety Policies.Coordinates/conducts Radiation Safety training courses for company Radiation Workers in accordance with the requirements of National Laws and company Radiation Safety Policies.Responsible for the management of personal Radiation Badges, including distribution, collecting and returning to headquarter.Establishes Dose Records and Health Records for Radiation Workers.Perform and/or review investigations of overexposures, accidents, losses, thefts, unauthorized receipts, misuses or other deviations from approved radiation safety practice and implement corrective actions when vitalRespond to radiation safety emergencies and prepare and submit reports to the appropriate governing bodiesNuclear Safety and Security Commission (NSSC) License applications, renewals, and notifications including Isotope and X-ray tubes unless covered by other entities.Directly responsible to NSSC for License, any items of non-compliance and corrective actionAssist with customs clearance procedures for the import and export of radiation-related materials.Responsible for employee radiation safety equipment maintenance, inventory, and calibrationsResponsible to ensure that employees are trained, carded, and background checkedResponsible for ensuring field and regional offices follow all regulations and license requirementsCoordinate and prioritize tasks efficiently.Ensure customer expectations are met while balancing business needs.RequirementsKorean SRI license (방사선 취급 감독자 면허) must be required.Bachelor's degree in radiological science or relevant major1+ year of work experience as Radiation Safety Officer or equiavalent job Passionate about achieving outcomes, using data to guide decisions and always seeking ways to improve processes.Strong drive to learn and expand skillsProficiency in both written and spoken English and KoreanAbility to travel up to 50%
