What’s the role?

As a SAP S/4 HANA R2R Solution Consultant, you get to work with an astonishing team that plays a vital role in Carl Zeiss Inc. Show case your skills and experience with process enhancement in the design and implementation of functional and technical S/4 HANA solutions across a variety of roll-in projects. Specializing in financial and accounting processes whilst leveraging SAP solutions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. The position is crucial in streamlining and optimizing financial operations to support strategic decision making. This pivotal position involves crafting solutions that integrate seamlessly with satellite systems, tailored to meet intricate business and IT requirements within the R2R domain. A deep understanding of SAP best practices, alongside the ability to navigate and influence the adoption of standardized processes, marks the cornerstone of this role. The consultant is expected to possess a profound understanding of SAP technologies, including cloud integration and third-party systems, to ensure the delivery of solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Design and implement functional and technical SAP S/4HANA solutions for the R2R process, enhancing processes, ensuring seamless integration with satellite systems to meet specific business and IT requirements.Deliver integration between SAP R2R modules and other systems such as ERP to facilitate end to end visibility and control over financial processes.Lead the coordination and direction of development work toward global development factories, guaranteeing projects are executed efficiently and in a timely manner. Manage R2R implementation projects, coordinating with cross functional teams, managing timelines and budgets to create a successful project delivery.Serve as a subject matter expert on SAP best practice architectures and technologies, providing essential support to deployment teams and enhancing solution development capabilities.Actively challenge and evaluate the necessity of process deviations, advocating for standardization to ensure solution integrity and alignment with SAP best practices.Ensure strict adherence to established architecture principles and standards, maintaining consistent quality across all solutions. Make sure all solutions comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, maintaining high levels of quality and consistency.Review and manage the approval process for configuration and functional specification documents, ensuring compliance and accuracy.Support comprehensive testing activities, including the coordination of bug-fixing efforts, to guarantee the reliability and performance of deployed solutions. Conduct thorough and regular testing of configured and customized SAP solutions to ensure they meet specified requirements and perform reliably in a production environment.Provide critical support during cutover, migration, and hypercare phases, ensuring smooth transitions and the stabilization of the R2R process domain.Address and resolve post-implementation issues, facilitating continuous improvement and optimization of deployed solutions.

Do you qualify?

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a solution consultant or architect in SAP transformation projects, with a focus on the Record to Report (R2R) domain.Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing SAP S/4HANA solutions, including cloud integration and integration with third-party systems.Extensive experience with global template processes, particularly within the R2R domain.A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Relevant professional certifications in SAP or related fields.Exceptional analytical abilities and excellent communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration and problem-solving.

Nice to Haves:

Advanced degree in a related field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration.Additional professional certifications in project management or related fields.Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams in a multinational environment.Demonstrated expertise in cloud solutions and their integration with SAP S/4HANA.Proficiency in using project management tools and methodologies.

Working Conditions and Special Demands:

Location: The role is primarily based in White Plains, New York.Hybrid Work: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.Travel: will be required and may increase for limited periods during go-live/post-go-live at different ZEISS locations across the Americas. Occasional business trips to Germany can also be required.

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000 – $150,000

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.

This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions.  ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
