Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee R&D Engineers to meet the requirements of product development projects, while reporting to the R&D Technology Manager - Instrumentation.The R&D Team Leader plays an important role, driving and fostering a culture of innovation within the department while assisting the R&D Technology Manager to plan and manage R&D activities and resources. In this position, you will support the development of projects and identify the budget for a specific functional area. The work model for the role is: HybridThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tServing as a technical resource for internal and external contacts•\tCreating technology roadmaps and providing input regarding technology strategy planning•\tPlanning and ensuring an optimal project portfolio for the team, and overseeing efficient project execution •\tRecommending, developing, and improving processes and procedures to enhance local operationsOur team dynamics You will join a dynamic and high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

\t8+ years of experience in embedded systems development, working as an R&D Development Team leader/Manager with natural gas flow measurement equipment or low power embedded systems development running on real-time operating systems.\tSound knowledge of managing embedded development teams, good understanding of software development and experience with hands-on development with “C++”, scripting languages, UX/UI development, automation, continuous integration and integration, open source scanning, cyber security, delivery and release to a manufacturing environment. Experience with hardware and mechanical development.\tA solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills. Proficiency in English is required.\tGood knowledge of ABB Gate Model and Quality Processes\tSound knowledge of Agile methodologies, certifications in Scrum is preferred.\tA {bachelor’s degree and/or significant relevant experience} in {Software or Computer Engineering}\tCurrent US permanent resident or citizen.
