Our Auburn Hills, MI, location seeks a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented R&D Sensorics Systems & Architecture Manager to join our Safety and Motion team. The ideal candidate has experience with Mechanical Engineering/Systems Product development. Are you ready to shape the future with us? **THE POSITION** + Lead and Coordinate the activities of the Local (US) and regional ( Mexico, Brazil) Systems, Electrical, and Mechanical Architecture engineers, with a focus on Customer interface and contact, Prototype lab development, and sample delivery. + Customer interface and contact for our R&D Sensorics Products (Speed sensors, Chassis position & Acceleration, Battery Voltage and Current, Washer Systems) + Product Promotions through Proof of Concept/sample builds, Quote technical reviews and on-site support. + Coordinate and lead support for vehicle installation & Launch topics. + Coordinate and Plan A-Sample builds for local projects. + Facilitate Data transfer topics for 2D/3D information for projects & Releases. + Review and Approve Change Requests and Material Life Cycle work packages for Mechanical 2D/3D data, BOMs and functional test results. + Facilitate component reviews and release database for the region. + Maintain Lab Certifications and Audits and coordinate lab personnel. + Supported the program management team with new product and market investigations. Functions + Coordinate Lab & Personnel activities. + Plan Annual internal and external Audit reviews with EHS. + Maintain a list of equipment and calibration/certification status + Plan and execute annual investment locally and for the region (ABH, QRO, Silao) + Coordinate ME Architecture tasks and customer 2D/3D data upload (Acting on ME Lead role) + Coordinate ABH SAS Lab request calendar requests for local and regional teams (3D printing, 3D scanning, CNC) Customer interface for Product reviews & Promotions + Maintain and establish equivalent connections within Local customers. + Lead or Perform product reviews (annual) with current customer leadership. + Plan and coordinate customer reviews for new product promotions and innovations. + Support Sales/Program Management during annual customer visits. Product development review and release + Maintain and report current project/product development status (Monthly) + Perform ME, Sys and EE MLCs + Review & sign off on 2D/3D drawings and data releases. + Lead and sign off on changes during Change control board meeting. Non-technical tasks + Plan and execute mid-year and annual reviews. + Work with local team on development path. + Coordinate tasks and evaluations for regional team (QRO, Silao) + Track and report Prototype sample build status for ABH. **WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY** + Immediate Benefits + Paid Time Off + Tuition & Employee Discounts + Annual Bonus + Employer 401(k) Match + And more benefits that come with working for a global industry leader! **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS** + Bachelor’s Engineering degree or relevant discipline + Minimum 2 Years Team Lead/Supervisor experience + Minimum 7 Years ME/Systems Product development + Must have Knowledge/experience in 2D/3D modeling Software, such as CATIA, Solidworks, FreeCad or others + Must have Experience in DOORS or similar Requirement Management tools + Must have Experience in IMS/Jira or similar task Management tools + Must have Experience in MLC/PLC process for Components and Subsystems + Must have Experience in Assembly Stack-up and tolerancing for Product/Assembly Drawings + Technical Knowledge - Capable of managing advanced abilities and knowledge in practices and techniques gained through experience and exposure to complex and diverse techniques, theories, and principles. + Research and Development - Capable of managing and directing the research and development programs to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential products + Problem Solving - Manage in-depth analysis of the different possible courses of action and then select the best solution for implementation. + Analysis / Synthesis - Managing the identification of a set of features, parameters, or considerations to consider in analyzing a situation or making a decision and offering solutions + Personnel development - Coordinate growth and opportunities for the local and regional team Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity This role is an internal-only position; external applicants will not be considered for this role **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Master’s Degree + 10+ Years in Supervisor/Manager role, MLC Review & Release responsibility.
