This position reports to

Product Line Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead multiple teams of Research and Development (R&D) employees in a specific location and support them in achieving the agreed R&D targets. Each day, you will manage and develop resources directly and through Team Leads. You will also showcase your expertise by driving technology, platform, and Intellectual Property (IP) management.The work model for the role is: #Li- Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion Large Motors & Generators Division in Vadodara, India.You will be mainly accountable for:• \tServes as a technical resource for the department and provides technical support for internal and external contacts. • \tPlays a major role in the creation of technology and product roadmaps with global R&D management. • \tDevelops capability in their own organization to ensure employees can challenge the status quo regarding technical issues, projects, tools, and/or processes. • \tSupports Team Leads to plan capacity, people, and resources for R&D projects and manages conflicts efficiently. • \tRecommends, develops, and improves processes, procedures, and tools to enhance department operations across individual teams. • \tSupports and oversees the transfer of technology and knowledge within the department and the larger organization, as well as with external resources and communities.

Qualifications for the role

\tA bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering\tAt least 12-15 years of experience in Design or R&D department \tShould have experienced in handling the team \tSolid understanding of the motor and their applications.\tKnowledge of Motor design programs is must.\tAdvanced communication, influencing, coaching and management skills\tFluent English, good communication skills
