R&D Lab Technician
Job Title: R&D Lab Technician

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Associates in Science related field (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry) or Non degreed with one year of wet chemistry experience

Key Responsibilities:

Formulate and process materials, prepare wet samples, apply them to lab metal, bake, and test properties.Conduct testing for viscosity, density, weight per gallon, color development, adhesion, cure, solids, flexibility, and solvent resistance.Follow batch tickets (recipes) with precision for weights and measurements.Perform standard testing procedures with meticulous attention to detail and quality.Adhere to the daily work plan for Lab Work Requests or project plans.Document work accurately in lab notebooks (physical or electronic).Identify and resolve roadblocks or anomalies; communicate concerns to a chemist promptly.Ensure raw materials are available and correctly labeled.Label and mail samples accurately.Maintain a clean and organized workspace; perform equipment calibration and testing as assigned.Uphold high levels of housekeeping and 5S organization in the lab.Promote a safe work environment by complying with safety policies and procedures; follow safe practices for personal and equipment safety, aiming for zero or minimal safety incidents.Job Type

This is a contract position lasting 6 months, with the potential for a permanent role depending on headcount.

Shift and Pay

1st shift M-F from 8:00am-5:00pm
