Job Title

R&D Engineer II

As an R&D Engineer II, you will provide engineering support and technical guidance to material, product, and process development programs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

With limited direction, conduct engineering experiments on new materials, products, processes and/or procedures.Participate significantly in projects to optimize and improve existing materials, products, processes and/or procedures.Contribute to project plan development, execution and reporting activities to support CoorsTek project management activities.Devise basic research methods and documents results and procedures.Operate process and test equipment with an understanding of functionality based on underlying engineering principles.Exercise responsibility for specific pieces of processing and/or analytical equipment.Work collaboratively with the Operations and Commercial sectors of the company.Participate in the company’s safety culture and continuous improvement efforts.Undertakes further training to improve skills.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, or related Physical Science or Engineering, and at least three years relevant experience;Or: Masters degree in Materials Science, or related Physical Science or Engineering

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Sound basic knowledge of mathematics, statistics, engineering science and ceramic processing.Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.Organized, detail-oriented person necessary.Team player.Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Position Specific Physical Requirements:
