**R&D Engineer I / Engineer II – Medical Device (San Diego, CA)** In this role you’ll be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the design and development of our next generation Intravascular Ultrasound Cardiac Catheters. **Your role:** + You will be tasked with the design and development of new invasive and non-invasive medical device products as part of the broader R&D Engineering Team, often mentored by a Senior/Principal Level Engineer. + You will conceptualize, investigate, evaluate, and propose innovative product development and process ideas, including new designs, methodologies, materials, and machines. + Your responsibilities include generating and maintaining detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development, including design controls deliverables (e.g. test protocols and reports, component drawings/specifications, fixtures/tooling). + You will assist in organizing technical design reviews and presents relevant sub-sections. **You're** **the right fit if:** + You’ve acquired 1+ years of experience supporting medical device design and development, preferably on intravascular products (e.g. catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents). Experience with electromechanical products, including ASIC/transducer and ultrasound technology highly desirable. + Your skills include technical design in SolidWorks, product testing/evaluation, statistical data analysis (Minitab), and solid technical writing and communication. + You have a B.S in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Biomedical) or higher. + You have basic working knowledge of Design Controls & Risk Management + You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position. + You are an exceptional analytical and creative thinker, and a strong team player. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
