- Product Development: Lead the design and development of nitinol stents, from concept through commercialization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.- Material Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of nitinol material properties, including shape memory and super elasticity, to optimize stent performance and manufacturing processes.- Engineering Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and manufacturing professionals.- Prototyping & Testing: Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and analyze results to refine designs and ensure product performance and safety.- Process Optimization: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to establish robust and scalable production processes, addressing challenges such as annealing, forming, and surface finishing of nitinol components.- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and processes meet applicable regulatory and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA).- Innovation & Problem Solving: Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for improvements in stent technology, materials, and processes.- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, testing protocols, and reports.- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or a related field; advanced degree (Mechanical or Biomedical preferred).

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
