You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification business Smart Buildings division in Hyderabad, India.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tCollaborate with manufacturing to ensure a functional, producible design is developed. Demonstrate that performance and constructional requirements have been met. •\tWork with team to root cause performance failures and develop alternate designs to meet requirements. •\tCreate models, assemblies, and documentation including bill of materials, drawings, and support documents. •\tCollaborate as a member of a project team to deliver products into production. Innovation: Contributes to research and development (R&D) projects with own, creative ideas. Proposes follow-up activities based on project results. •\tContribute to team’s advanced development/ innovation efforts to enhance product offerings.•\tParticipate constructively in global teams, collaborating with the team in terms of design and execution ideas, development, and implementation. •\tPrepare and present design reviews to demonstrate understanding of specification and verification that it was met. Demonstrated ability to build relevant internal network to support ongoing activities.
Qualifications for the role\tB. Tech/M. S/ M. Tech or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical engineering with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Electrical product design/development.\tExposure to high volume manufacturing processes, sheet metal enclosure, molding, welding, assembly, strap, busbar and plastics design.\tExperience documenting products in a PLM environment\tProficient in CAD Tools like Creo, Pro/ENGINEER etc. Translate requirements into designs using appropriate analysis and design tools. Execute statistical tolerance studies. \tMust have good documentation (Windchill experience preferred) and technical report writing skills. \tExposure to UL standards (UL50, 67) – Panelboards and Enclosures & Experience structuring and documenting bill of materials in windchill\tHighly motivated self-driven Electrical/Mechanical engineer to work independently on R&D projects related to ELSB NEMA Enclosure product line. \tMust have good understanding of product development lifecycle and have hands-on expertise on product development activities including design, testing, analysis, root cause, qualification, and certification.
