Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for an R&D Design Engineer to join in our Research and Development - Special Circuit Breaker Team based in Dalmine (IT) developing mechanical and electrical design for Medium Voltage circuit breaker.The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridThis role contributes to the Distribution Solutions Division within the Electrification Business Area in Dalmine. You will be mainly accountable for:• Realizing the mechanical/electrical design and all technical details of the circuit breaker. Development of 3D/2D parts integrating all the required accessories including actuation parts.• Take care of the design optimization by identifying architectural solutions, exploiting the highest integration and the rest of the product (mechanical part, control and sensors).• Following the prototype development, implementing the executive drawings, and the all-project documentation (from pre-feasibility studies to detailed design documents) • Carrying out preliminary tests for design pre-validation, analyzing the quality and reliability of the product, prototype debug and integration with the switchgear and the control system feature working closely in a strongly multidisciplinary team.• Drawing up the technical documentation required for production of the Circuit Breaker and carrying out activities to support and maintain the products when requested.• Working closely with other colleagues, functions proactive and motivated.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar. You have at least 2 years of experience in design, 3D/2D drawings of industrial applications. You have experience using Solid works. You have an interest in prototype assembly, integration and tests to develop functionality and performance. You have experience creating technical dossiers, documents and management of versioning for a full tracking of the Circuit Breaker BOM and its industrialization. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tolerance chains is a plus as well for the awareness of the MV test and standards to comply. You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken You possess proactivity and communication skills. You have the ability to create innovation, negotiation and networking skills.
