The Local Deploy Product Specialist is business partners to local team and ensures full R&D support to local activities and successful implementation of new / re-launched products in the market.  The role is design to provide all technical / R&D aspects of projects and products labelling as well as regulatory and technical information on that matter.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Providing internal services for quality and product risk assessment, including promotions. Partner for Brand Building and CSP for promotions, ensuring that promotional items used (NPI) conform with Unilever standards.

Local Deploy Product Specialist is responsible for communications with Regulatory Affairs Specialist to help assure compliance of new or re-launched products with mandatory Unilever policies and relevant EU and local legislation and is responsible for the approval of legal packaging texts in relation to Unilever policies and EU and local legislation.

Preparation and approving of the master texts specification/CU PIRD/SDS/PCN that is the basis for legal text on product packaging for the allocated categories.

Local Deploy Product Specialist is the expert of specific local conditions, relevant for the category and maintains and provides information and training for relevant audiences. In this role, he/she ensures awareness and knowledge sharing with the relevant cluster team colleagues.

Local Deploy Product Specialist, when necessary, contributes with technical/product input in issues/crisis management and closely collaborates with the local / regional QA team.

Local Deploy Product Specialist is responsible for data management and internal technical databases maintenance (PLM, PIOTI, FIORI, VEEVA, CU PIRD).

Technical observation of competitor activates and the input of relevant topics into R&D European team

 Technical support for all competitor challenges.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Understanding of product design, process, and ingredients especially Home Care formulations.

Understanding of the Unilever and country standards for local implementation.

Consumer and Customer understanding.

Organisational awareness of the R&D function within Unilever

Experiences & Qualifications

Preferably 1 year of work experience in a technical, preferably R&D environment.

Product development experience.

Preferably experience from other UL functions that are business partners to or within R&D.

Optional degree in technical, natural science, or related fields with basic knowledge in chemistry.

Skills

Structured, systematic, and logical in thinking and in doing.

Good written and spoken communication skills (Local and English)

Ability to gather information from diverse sources and translate those into customer/consumer relevant language.

Communication, interaction, and networking skills.
