Position Overview:

\r\n\r\nExperience: Minimum 3 years in the Construction/Engineering Industry\r\nQualification: Minimum of a Diploma in one of the following:\r\n\r\n

o Building Estimating

\r\n

o Quantity Surveying

\r\n

o Construction Procurement

\r\n

o Construction Finance

\r\n

o Engineering (Mechanical, Structural or Civil)

\r\n

o Construction Supervision/Management

\r\n

o Engineering Estimation

\r\n\r\nLocation: Cape Town Harbour\r\nContract Period: 12 Month Contract (extension based on performance and client requirements)\r\nSalary: R 18,000.00 - R28,000.00 Gross\r\n\r\n

Working Hours:

\r\n\r\nNormal Working Hours: 07:00 – 15:00\r\nProject Specific Working Hours: 07:00 – 19:00 including weekends and public holidays (projects range from 40 to 90 days) x 3 per year\r\n\r\n

Responsibilities:

\r\n\r\nAssist in Final Account verification (check contractor quotations against contract rates)\r\nSet up enquiry BOQ's from a scope of work\r\nAdjudication of tenders\r\nPrepare Contract BOQ's\r\nAdminister Contract Variation Orders\r\nManage enquiries for tender purposes\r\nConduct site measures\r\nProcess interim payments\r\nPrepare engineering estimates\r\nPerform cost reporting\r\n\r\n

Competency in Software:

\r\n\r\nMS Office 2013 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) - Required\r\nWinQS – advantageous, not a requirement\r\nDimX – advantageous, not a requirement\r\nSAP - advantageous, not a requirement\r\nExperience with accounting software (SAP, Pastel, Sage, etc.) - advantageous, not a requirement\r\nEstimating software- advantageous, not a requirement\r\nAdobe- advantageous, not a requirement Requirements:\r\nTeamwork experience\r\nAttention to detail\r\nDeadline-driven\r\nWillingness to learn and build on existing experience\r\n\r\n
