Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction company in Johannesburg. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and detailed reports for various construction projects. Analyze project specifications and negotiate contract terms with clients and subcontractors. Monitor and track project expenditures and recommend cost-saving measures. Coordinate with project managers and engineers to assess project progress and timelines. Prepare payment applications and ensure accurate billing for completed work. Provide advice on procurement options and value engineering procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal regulations. Participate in risk assessment and value management workshops. Manage subcontractor accounts and negotiate final settlements.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field. A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. Proficient in cost management software such as CCS Candy, BuildSmart, or similar. Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement practices. Excellent analytical, numeracy, and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional registration with a relevant body (e.g., SACQSP) is desirable.Benefits
