Hire Resolve is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team based in Durban. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with some experience in the construction industry who are looking to advance their careers and gain hands-on experience in quantity surveying.
As a Candidate Quantity Surveyor, you will work under the guidance of seasoned professionals, assisting in various tasks related to cost estimation, budget management, and project coordination. Your contribution will be vital to ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and within financial constraints.
Responsibilities Assisting with the preparation of quantity take-offs and cost estimates for tender submissions. Participating in contract administration and management. Supporting project teams with financial reporting and budget control. Conducting site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications. Collaborating with senior Quantity Surveyors to analyze and compare costs. Helping with the preparation of progress claims and final accounts. Staying updated with industry trends and regulations. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. 3-5 years’ experience in Commercial and Petroc Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with measurement software (e.g., WinQS, CostX) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work well in a team environment.
