We’re looking for a Quality Test Developer II to join our B2B team in North America. You will play a key role in reinforcing the quality standards of the organization as part of the brand platform. For this role, you can be located in Montreal or Toronto.
What you’ll be doing:
Write elegant, maintainable, reusable code to develop high-quality test scripts Collaborate with product managers, developers, designers, and quality specialists to deliver the highest product quality. Extract product requirements into meaningful manual test cases which can be automated Conduct manual exploratory testing as needed. Act as an advocate for highest code quality and ownership, while contributing to the health of the infrastructure Raise the bar and elevate your team by sharing knowledge and best practices while always seeking improvement and progressWho you are:
You are an experienced automated tester with a proven background in manual testing You are well versed with the unique challenges that come with testing software in an agile development environment You are a problem solver that does not shy away from tackling complexity You believe quality is a mindset, not a job description You have a natural curiosity and attention to detail You are highly analytical and a critical thinker who raises the bar You are self-motivated with the ability to function effectively in a team environment with minimal supervisionWhat You'll bring to the team:
Experience writing automated test scripts in modern languages, Typescript preferred but open to other languages Experience in automation test design, planning, execution, analysis, automation script maintenance, and issue escalation. Experience with Cypress preferred Experience with API testing Experience with source management (Git)Even better if you have hands-on experience with (but not necessary):
Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent knowledge Experience with both functional and non-functional testing (e.g. performance & security testing Experience with CI/CD tools. Gitlab preferred Experience with cloud-based technologies and tools (GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes) Some experience with unit and integration testing Experience with tools such as Testrail and JiraWe know that people are more than what’s on their CV.
