Quality & Operations Excellence Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the plant’s expanding Quality effort, at the US Motion Headquarters, in New Berlin, WI, ensuring a positive impact to safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. You will report to the Quality/Tactical OpEx Manager and be responsible for production line quality support.The work model for the role is: OnsiteYou will be mainly accountable for:• Safety - Be an active participant in the safety culture by submitting and fixing hazards throughout the year. Follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations and company policies. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards within their assigned work area.• Quality – Responsible for helping to deliver world class quality by writing work instructions, completing PFMEAs, setting up FAI/inspection criteria, poke-yoke, error proofing, and managing ECNs and CAPAs as they arise. • Teamwork - Contribute to team effort by accomplishing AME/Quality tasks and assist with other duties to support engineering and operations as assigned.• Problem Solving – This individual will be responsible for supporting new projects as well as troubleshooting and addressing issues with current systems in use in production. Qualifications for the role

High School Diploma or GED required PLUS minimum 5 years of manufacturing work experience. MS Office and Excel knowledge required; AutoCAD experience a plus Ability to work independently (self-motivated and self-directed) and successful at managing multiple priorities and tasks with good verbal and written communication in English Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, frequent squatting, bending, stooping, sitting and stretching, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
