Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform audits in accordance with AS9100 requirements, support Quality and Operations on inspections, vendor surveys, and non-conformance reports. The role also includes programming and operating CMM as needed, performing inspections on production parts, and preparing First Article Inspection reports. You will also be responsible for incoming materials and parts inspections.
ResponsibilitiesPerform audits in accordance with AS9100 requirementsSupport Quality and Operations on inspections, vendor surveys, and non-conformance reportsProgram and operate CMM as neededPerform inspections on production parts as directedPrepare First Article Inspection reportsConduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standardsMaintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate mannerCoordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixturesParticipate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection functionEssential Skills5-7 years of experience with CMM programming and operatingExperience with AS9100 Quality SystemsProficiency in PC-DMIS CMM programStrong knowledge of Quality Engineering principlesExperience in conducting root cause analysisAbility to review and document auditsProficiency in blueprint readingAdditional Skills & QualificationsTechnical degree or equivalentWorking knowledge of measurement instruments including calipers, gage blocks, and height gagesWork Environment
You will be working in a small, family-owned aerospace company. The environment is collaborative and focused on high-quality standards. You will have access to various measurement instruments and will work closely with other team members to ensure all quality standards are met.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00
