Basic Qualifications: 

Three plus years of laboratory or related metallurgical field experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to lift/move 30 lbs. (may not exceed per EHS policies) Must be able to stand for long periods of time 

 Preferred Qualifications

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Quality Tech, Metallurgy Lab in our Fullerton,CA location. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities 

This position is involved directly in preparation, grinding, polishing, etching of metallurgical mounts.  Evaluation of grain size, hardness, surface contamination, alloy depletion shall be performed and recorded on routine processed conforming and non-conforming product.  Ensure that microstructural analysis results conform to relevant specifications and that the microstructures are digitally captured, identified, stored and processed according to work instructions.
