Quality Supervisor
Masterite Division of DCX-CHOL is seeking an experience Quality Supervisor with the following qualifications: JOB SUMMARY The Quality Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products and processes with specifications and contractual requirements. Reporting to the General Manager, this position involves planning, coordinating, and executing quality assurance activities across manufacturing and development processes. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing quality assurance program plans, inspection activities, and equipment requirements to uphold the integrity of our quality management system. This role provides leadership and guidance to the Quality Assurance team, facilitating collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts. As a hands-on supervisory position, the Quality Supervisor actively participates in quality assurance activities to lead by example and drive operational excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES • Lead and inspire team members through effective leadership, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and active participation in problem-solving processes. • Coordinate the allocation of inspection resources to optimize productivity and meet operational requirements. • Organize and manage the scheduling of customer and/or government source inspection activities, ensuring timely and efficient completion. • Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is maintained in accordance with AS9100, regulatory, and contractual requirements. • Actively participate in and provide support for internal audits across all functional areas covered by the Quality Management System. • Conduct necessary First Article and In-Process/Final Inspections as required to uphold quality standards. • Ensure proper maintenance of customer specifications and inspection records to uphold traceability and compliance. • Direct the inspection team, providing guidance and ensuring their effective performance. • Oversee training, coaching, and day-to-day responsibilities for the Quality Assurance (QA) group, ensuring smooth product flow. • Demonstrate and promote productivity by meeting individual and team expectations, collaborating with colleagues to achieve goals, solve problems, and suggest improvements. • Provide support to the Material Review Board (MRB) and actively collaborate with the team to address dispositions as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS • High School Diploma or GED • 3-year of hands on inspection experience in aerospace using established standard visual, electrical, and mechanical inspection procedures experience. • Quality Assurance experience at any level, specifically in a manufacturing facility • Excellent interpersonal skills • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail, while ensuring follow-through to completion of all tasks • Working knowledge of inspection tools and methodologies • Previous experience as an inspector • Experience with Customer Source Inspection including DCMA Source Inspectors • Excellent skill in blueprint reading and interpretation. • Excellent skill in reading mil-specs, government contracts and requirements • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook • Working knowledge of AS9100 standards, 3 years of experience in AS9100 quality system • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies REQUIRED SKILLS • Demonstrated leadership skills • Must Have Experience and Ability To: o Working with DCMA o Conduct Source Inspection o Perform First Article Inspections o Strong planning and organization skills o Proficient in reading engineering drawings and mil-specifications o Experience with AS9102 requirements o Excellent communications skills o Excellent ability to work and communicate within a team and in a fast-paced environment o Prioritize work responsibilities of self and others o Self-motivated and detail oriented o Fluent in English (both verbally and in writing). Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
