Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM), is a global leader in the building materials industry. We’ve been around since 1917. We are looking for a Quality Supervisor to join our team at our Lake City, FL facility.
Job Summary
Supervise and oversee the inspection and testing of finished goods and raw materials. Identify issues with product quality and make corrective recommendations to the quality and manufacturing teams. Investigate long term quality issue trends via data analysis. Perform mock audits in preparation for quality audits. Address quality audit action items/findings. Manage deviations/deviation submittal. Set and monitor lab tech workload distribution. Possess a working knowledge of manufacturing/processing specifications, product specifications, and product testing equipment and calibration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and coach all lab personnel Oversee activities of the Quality Lab Inspect and test product for quality defects Investigate and conduct root causes analysis for quality issues Schedule and lead meetings as necessary Perform CAPAs as needed Lead and coordinate training of new team members Fill in for Quality Techs as needed Travel as required for various QA related meetings/events Ensure proper function and calibration of all lab testing equipmentRequired Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
Safety guideline for all equipment Quality manual procedures and best practices Impact of shipping incorrect or defective products Leadership skills for department activities Advanced computer skills (email, excel, word, PowerPoint, SFIS, etc) Basic math and data analysis skills Production schedules Create, write, and audit policies, procedures, and guidelines Forklift operationEducation and Experience:
Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Three to five years of Supervisory experience, working in a fast pace manufacturing environmentEquipment Used:
Measurement equipment as outlined in the Carlisle quality assurance manual Various tools (measurement gauges including calipers, tape measures and scales, thermal conductivity machine, various thickness measurement device and freezer temperature probe) and required PPE as needed Office equipment (computer, phone, kiosk) Computer systems (SAPI, SAP, MS programs)Working Conditions:
Activities occur inside an insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following. Temperatures exposed to both Ambient/outside temperatures. Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points Noise of industrial machinery Typically, 40 hour per week with overtime as required 3 shifts Monday-Friday with weekends as required Fast paced 24/5 operation#LI-AS1
