**Job Summary and Qualifications**
+ Under the direction of the Director of Quality Management, you will be responsible for using independent judgment to assure evidenced-based standards of care within assigned service lines are met as required by The Joint Commission, HCA, and other regulatory agencies
+ You will be responsible for the management, direction, and implementation of performance improvement and patient safety activities within the assigned service lines and will assess the care provided by nurses and other medical staff and reports any deviations from the standard of care to the Director of Quality Management, involved nursing leadership and/ or Chief Medical Officer/ designee
+ You will monitor the trends the quality performance of the medical staff and serves as a liaison to the Medical Staff Leadership, Department Directors and Managers, and other key facility personnel regarding quality and patient safety activities and projects that support enhanced clinical performance, process improvement and Continual survey readiness compliance
+ You will function as a role model in quality methodology and the evaluation of performance data, exercising authority to provide guidance in new approaches as identified, and may take on other responsibilities as determined by the Director of Quality Management
**What qualifications you will need:**
+ Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing preferred
+ Bachelor degree required in health care field; Master’s Degree preferred
+ CPHQ within 24months of employment (36 months if Quality University IHI Open School successfully completed)
+ Enrollment and Completion of Quality University IHI Open School when eligible to enroll in next HCA/ Far West Division class, not to exceed 2 years of employment
+ Minimum three years recent experience in an acute healthcare related setting
+ Prior experience as a Program/service line leader or Performance Improvement/Quality Specialist preferred
+ Important Skills: Physical Assessment/ Lab data interpretation/ Nursing theory/ Basic computer and hospital informatics skills. Familiarity with Joint Commission and state regulatory requirements
