Quality Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.The work model for the role is: HybridThis role is contributing to the Motion NEMA Motors division. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tSupporting specific communication relevant to quality management in your area of responsibility.•\tAssisting in continuously identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to quality management in the local organization.•\tUsing quality data analytics from the organization to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances.•\tFacilitating resolution of customer cases by following a robust root cause analysis and implementing preventive and corrective actions.Our team dynamicsYou will join a dynamic and high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor of Science in a technical field with 5 years manufacturing experience preferred.Associate’s Degree with 7 years manufacturing experience.8+ years of manufacturing experience with background in machining, winding and assembly processes required.8 years’ experience in manufacturing with a strong background in machining processes preferred.Ability to read, interpret, and edit drawings preferredThorough knowledge of electric motors and components, with emphasis on machining.Strong knowledge of BUS/SAP a plus.Project management knowledge preferred.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification Preferred.Lean Flex Flow Certification Preferred.Experience in leading teams highly desired.Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).Must possess or be willing to acquire ASQ Certification (2 years)Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
